The inspiration of Dominican Friars also known as Order of Preachers (OP) towards building a total man led to the establishment of schools all over the world and our school is one of such enterprise to build up the human person. This vision of the fathers was to establish an institution to train up children who will be rooted in Gospel values of respect for life, love, solidarity and justice from the cradle to young adulthood. A person who will not lack academically, spiritually, economically and socially.
Dominican Basic Schools and Preparatory School, Izuoma formally known as Dominican Nursery and Basic School, Mirinwanyi Asa came into existence on the 26th of September, 2006. Under the administration of Rev. Fr. Damian Nwanna OP. It kicked off in an old small building within St Theresa Catholic Church premises at Mirinwanyi. It started with only nursery one to primary three classes, and a total population of five academic staff, four non-academic staff and about fifty pupils.
